e-pay now provides e-top-up services to all five major U.K. retailers, with the announcement that Sainsbury's, the U.K.'s third largest retailer has signed up for the service. When the Sainsbury's rollout is completed, e-pay will add more than 10,500 points of sale across 750 locations, including 220 petrol stations, to its retail network for top-up services.

Euronet signed a multiyear ATM Network agreement with ING Bank Slaski, one of Poland's five largest banks and a long-standing Euronet software customer. ING Bank Slaski customers now have access to more than 1,000 ATMs, when combining Euronet's ATM count and the bank's 553 ATMs.


November   Expanding on its prepaid processing segment, Euronet acquires transact GmbH, a leading German top-up processor. transact specializes in payment processing services and software for EFT and prepaid mobile phone transactions on POS terminals, as well as retailer till systems. Additionally, transact offers a line of proprietary GPRS-based POS terminal products.

e-pay continues to expand, this time entering Ireland by launching e-top-up at Tesco Ireland's 79 branches. The rollout provides e-top-up services at all Tesco Ireland outlets for the mobile operator customers of Vodafone Ireland, O2 Ireland and Meteor.

BPH PBK SA, the third largest bank in Poland and a member of the HVB Group, chose Euronet to provide end-to-end ATM outsourcing services for the bank's existing network of 717 ATMs, in addition to providing value added services such as electronic recharge.

Euronet processed 57.3 million transactions in the third quarter 2003.


September  

e-pay enters the Polish market launching e-top-up with agreements with all three of Poland's mobile operators PTK Centertel, Polkomtel S.A. and Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa, the Era network operator. All three mobile operators in Poland also have Euronet recharge agreements for ATM and/or handset distribution, and are expanding with point of sale (POS) based services through retail locations.

Splitska Banka, Croatia's third largest bank, is implementing Euronet Integrated Credit Card software in conjunction with Euronet's Debit Card System and Merchant Management System. Splitska Banka, a member of HVB Group and the leading Visa bank in Croatia with 300,000 customers, selected the Euronet card and merchant software packages to accommodate a comprehensive electronic funds transfer business with ATM, POS, debit and credit card solutions.

Euronet expands PaySpot by acquiring the U.S.-based top-up business Austin International Marketing and Investments, Inc. (AIM). AIM sells prepaid services via POS terminals in 36 states. Euronet will use AIM's resources to enhance the company's U.S. prepaid program, called PaySpot, which enables consumers to purchase wireless airtime and long distance calling plans from ATM and POS terminals across the country.

Euronet signs a multi-year agreement to provide end-to-end ATM, EFT POS and transaction gateway outsourcing services to Raiffeisen Bank S.A., the third largest retail bank in Romania. The agreement includes the bank's current approximately 600 ATMs and 2,700 EFT POS terminals. Raiffeisen Bank plans to deploy an additional 300 ATMs and 3,300 EFT POS terminals in the first 24 months of this partnership.


August   Bank Danamon Indonesia is the first Indonesian bank to simultaneously launch Euronet Mobile Recharge with all major mobile operators in Indonesia for both credit and debit cards, enabling bank customers to add minutes to their prepaid mobile accounts directly from their mobile phone. Euronet has connections with all four major Indonesian mobile operators that combined represent more than 9.4 million customers. Euronet offers these services through a joint venture called Euronet Sigma Nusantara (ESN), which authorizes and processes the mobile transactions at ESN's local data center in Jakarta.

Expanding the scope of a cash management outsourcing agreement, Euronet and Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG (HVB) increases its ATMs from 24 ATMs to 200 ATMs. This service is part of a complete cash logistic concept that was signed between Giesecke and Devrient (G&D) and HVB. Euronet handles the cash and cash logistic process in Munich, HVB's major region. The agreement includes services for 115 branches and approximately 200 ATMs. HVB Group has more than 4 million retail customers and 760 ATMs in Germany and 8.5 million customers throughout Europe.

Euronet processed 49.9 million transactions in the second quarter 2003.

Euronet launches ATM and mobile recharge services in India for Orange and four banks, including HDFC Bank, IDBI Bank, State Bank of India (SBI) and UTI Bank. These four banks combined have more than 95 million customers and 5.1 million cardholders. With more than 3,300 ATMs, these banks represent over 35% of the approximately 8,500 total ATMs in India.

Euronet also receives approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to operate a national shared ATM switch with Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) Bank as the settlement bank. The network, which operates under the bank-independent brand Cashnet, is India's first nationwide shared ATM switch. Cashnet supports ATMs for the existing founding member banks: Citibank, IDBI Bank, Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and Unit Trust of India (UTI) Bank. Customers from the member banks can use any ATM in the network. These transactions are supported by online connections between each bank and the Euronet processing center in Mumbai, thus establishing the first shared ATM network in India to offer end-to-end online transaction processing across the entire network.

e-pay Australia partners with Tab Limited to launch a real-time prepaid payment option for account holders in retail outlets throughout Australia. TAB is Australia's largest national wagering company accepting bets on thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing as well as sporting and other events. The added e-pay locations enable customers to deposit money to their accounts 24hours a day, 7 days a week at 533 participating e-pay retailers, including 7-Eleven, Quix, Mobil, Video Ezy and Nextra.

Euronet's subsidiary e-pay launches e-top-up services in Safeway supermarket stores in the U.K., totaling 480 Safeway outlets. The service is available at all Safeway checkout terminals.

e-pay Australia enters the New Zealand market by launching e-top-up with Vodafone New Zealand while leveraging e-pay Australia's existing network and retail relationships.

Euronet processed approximately 35.4 million transactions during the first quarter 2003.


February   Euronet acquires U.K.-based e-pay Limited. The largest electronic payments processor of prepaid mobile airtime top-up services, e-pay has services in both the U.K. and Australia, as well a 40% ownership of e-pay Malaysia. e-pay has agreements with mobile service providers, has distribution agreements with many major retailers and e-pay has a significant number of POS terminals in independent retail merchants. All of e-pay's employees are retained and e-pay's U.K. office service as the subsidiary's headquarters.

January   Euronet sells its U.K. subsidiary, Euronet Services (U.K.) Ltd to Bridgepoint Capital Limited for $29.6 million and signs a 5-year ATM outsourcing agreement with Bridgepoint to drive and process the transactions from its previously owned 745 ATMs and any new ATMs added to the network. Bridgepoint is calling the former U.K. subsidiary, Bank Machine Limited.
